Evaluation of light modulation

SoLiT Flicker has been developed for measurement of temporal light artifacts like Flicker or stroboscopic behaviour using the LMT Optical Flicker Unit.

Besides evaluation of modulated light, SoLiT Flicker is able to control a complete Flicker laboratory with AC power supplies capable of generating comlex waveforms, for instance for testing the reaction of light sources on disturbances in the mains network.

Last but not least AC power meters may be integrated to increase the accuracy of the electrical supply system. In addition to serving a simple setup with optical bench, SoLiT Flicker may be expanded for integrating sphere or goniophotometry equipment.

  • Short Term Flicker Indicator (Pst)
  • Stroboscopic Effect Visibility Measure (SVM)
  • Raw data of 10 fundamental modulation periods with FFT spectrum
  • Contour plot of acceptability ratings acc. to Bullough et al (Lighting Res. Technol. 2012; 44:477–483)
